Using the Next.js App Router. Reading data in Server Components is nice, but for forms with client-side validation I end up with a client component that also needs the data. Do you fetch in the server component and pass props, or use server actions + useFormState? What's working for you?

Fetch in the server component, pass initial data as props, mutations via server actions. Keep the client component as dumb as possible.

From the design side: please keep the inline validation messages! Server-only validation feels slow to users.
