Database Engineer

Anaplan is looking for a Database Reliability Engineer to join our growing team at Anaplan India. You'll be working in a global environment, supporting the development and maintenance of our hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine DBA maintenance for MySQL, Postgres, and MS SQL Server.

• Partner with Support and engineering on tenant operations including cloning, restore, and access, as well as on query and stored procedure optimisations.

• Conduct schema, query, and sizing or resource reviews for new services on the Anaplan platform.

• Work on the application and database modernisation roadmap, migrating to and integrating with containerised services.

Requirements

• DBA experience with MySQL or Postgres.

• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and ideally containerized databases.

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

• BSc degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MS SQL and Azure SQL databases.

• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Experience with PowerShell and T-SQL.

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps.

• Exposure to monitoring tools like Grafana or Prometheus.

• Understanding of automation tools such as Terraform.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
