Our Playwright suite gates prod deploys. 1-2% flakiness means a couple of blocked deploys a week. Devs want to auto-retry, I'm worried retries will hide real bugs. How do others handle this?

We quarantine automatically after 3 flaky runs in 7 days (tag + Jira ticket to the owning team). Retries only once and they're reported separately.

Track flaky rate per test. Retries are fine as long as someone looks at the number every week.
